History of CHEMISTRY

Robert Boyle is considered to have refined the modern scientific method for alchemy and to have separated Chemistry further from alchemy. Chemistry is a branch of Science that has been around for a long time. In fact, Chemistry is known to date back as far as the prehistoric times. At the end of 17th century, the traditional chemistry and in the mid of 19th century, modern chemistry introduced. It was introduced by Lavoisier and now he was known as “Father of Modern Chemistry”. There are five branches of Chemistry i.e. Organic, Inorganic, Analytical, Physical and Biochemistry. Further, they are sub-divided. In Chemistry, we study about chemicals, base, salt, periodic table. Medicines also contain many chemical properties. Chemistry also begins with the direct observation of nature. The word Chemistry has its own origin in the Greek word ‘alchemy’. Alchemist were people wanted to discover a technique for converting base metal into gold.
